Creamy Garlic Parmesan Tortellini with Chicken and Broccoli

Description

A rich, creamy one-pan pasta dish featuring tender tortellini, golden seared chicken, and fresh broccoli, all smothered in a garlic parmesan sauce. Perfect for a cozy night in or a quick weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 tablespoons butter (divided)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups broccoli florets

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup chicken broth

¾ cup grated parmesan cheese

12 oz refrigerated cheese tortellini


Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side or until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Add broccoli and cook for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp. Remove and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to low. Add heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir in parmesan cheese gradually until melted and the sauce thickens. Season to taste.
  5. Add tortellini and simmer for 4–5 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Slice cooked chicken and return to skillet with broccoli. Stir gently to combine and heat through.
