A rich, creamy one-pan pasta dish featuring tender tortellini, golden seared chicken, and fresh broccoli, all smothered in a garlic parmesan sauce. Perfect for a cozy night in or a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons butter (divided)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups broccoli florets
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup chicken broth
¾ cup grated parmesan cheese
12 oz refrigerated cheese tortellini
Instructions
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side or until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt remaining butter. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Add broccoli and cook for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to low. Add heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir in parmesan cheese gradually until melted and the sauce thickens. Season to taste.
- Add tortellini and simmer for 4–5 minutes until cooked through.
- Slice cooked chicken and return to skillet with broccoli. Stir gently to combine and heat through.
