Description
Creamy Beef and Bowtie Pasta is a comforting, hearty weeknight meal made with tender ground beef, rich cream cheese, and bowtie pasta coated in a velvety garlic-herb cream sauce. It’s finished with melty cheddar for a deliciously satisfying dinner the whole family will love.
Ingredients
12 oz bowtie pasta
1 lb ground beef
4 oz cream cheese
1 cup heavy cream
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook until al dente, according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a deep skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
3. Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the cream cheese and heavy cream until fully melted and combined into a smooth sauce. Add Italian seasoning and adjust salt and pepper to taste.
4. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss gently to coat in the creamy beef sauce.
5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Cover the skillet and let the cheese melt for 1–2 minutes.
6. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
Don’t overcook the pasta: You want it just al dente so it holds up well when combined with the hot sauce.
Soften the cream cheese first: It will melt faster and blend more smoothly into the sauce.
Use freshly shredded cheddar: Pre-shredded cheese has anti-caking agents that prevent smooth melting.
