Description
Cranberry Brie Puff Pastry Bites are the ultimate easy yet elegant appetizer. With just a handful of ingredients, you get flaky golden pastry, melty brie, and sweet-tart cranberry sauce in every bite. Ideal for holiday parties or cozy nights, these bites deliver maximum flavor with minimal effort.
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
4 oz brie cheese, rind removed and cubed
1/3 cup cranberry sauce (whole berry recommended)
1 sprig fresh thyme (optional)
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
1. Let puff pastry thaw and roll it out slightly on a floured surface. Cut into 2×2 inch squares.
2. Place each square into a mini muffin tin or on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
3. Add a cube of brie and 1 teaspoon cranberry sauce to the center of each square.
4. Brush pastry edges with beaten egg and sprinkle with fresh thyme if using.
5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–18 minutes until golden and bubbling.
6. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a small strip of prosciutto under the brie.
Don’t overfill the pastry to avoid leakage. A small cube of brie and a teaspoon of cranberry sauce is just right.
If you don’t have thyme, a light sprinkle of chopped rosemary works beautifully.
