Description

Cowboy Butter Steak Bites are golden-seared cubes of steak drenched in a buttery, garlicky, and zesty sauce that turns weeknight meals into a steakhouse treat. They’re quick, flavorful, and perfect for serving over mashed potatoes or with crusty bread.

Ingredients

1.5 lbs sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into 11.5 inch cubes

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and black pepper, to taste

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon lemon juice

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut steak into even cubes and pat dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear steak cubes in a single layer, 1-2 minutes per side until browned. Work in batches if necessary.
  3. Remove steak and reduce heat to medium. In the same pan, melt butter.
  4. Stir in garlic, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, parsley, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Return steak to pan, tossing to coat in the butter sauce. Heat through for 1 more minute.
  6. Garnish with extra parsley and serve hot.
