Cowboy Butter Chicken Linguine

Description

Cowboy Butter Chicken Linguine is a bold and buttery pasta dish that wraps tender chicken in a velvety cowboy butter sauce. With hints of garlic, heat, herbs, and cream, it’s the perfect comfort meal for pasta lovers craving something different. Great for weeknight dinners or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces

8 ounces linguine pasta

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

1 teaspoon paprika

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

3/4 cup heavy cream

Salt and black pepper to taste

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

1. Cut chicken breast into bite-sized chunks. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.

2. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter. Add minced garlic, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, paprika, and Dijon mustard. Stir until fragrant (1–2 minutes).

4. Add heavy cream to the skillet and stir until the sauce is smooth. Simmer for 3–4 minutes. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.

5. Meanwhile, cook linguine in salted water according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.

6. Return chicken to the skillet and toss in cooked linguine. Add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.

7. Finish with chopped parsley and Parmesan cheese. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra richness, use a mix of butter and a tablespoon of olive oil when searing the chicken.

If the sauce thickens too much after combining, gradually add more pasta water or cream to loosen.

Want more zing? A splash of white wine can be added to the cowboy butter before adding cream.
