Ingredients

1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts

1 cup ranch dressing

1 tsp garlic powder

4 slices provolone cheese

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs

2 tbsp melted butter

2 tbsp olive oil

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

1. Place chicken breasts between two pieces of plastic wrap and pound to even thickness using a meat mallet.

2. In a bowl, mix ranch dressing and garlic powder. Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes or overnight.

3. Preheat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and sear each chicken breast for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.

4. Transfer to a baking sheet if the skillet is not oven-safe.

5. Top each chicken breast with provolone cheese slices.

6. In a small bowl, mix parmesan, panko, melted butter, and a pinch of garlic powder. Spoon this over the provolone layer.

7. Broil chicken for 2–3 minutes until the crust is golden and bubbly. Watch closely to avoid burning.

8. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.

Notes

Marinate longer (up to 24 hours) for deeper ranch flavor and extra juicy texture.

Use freshly grated parmesan for best melt and crisping results.

Avoid overcooking—once the cheese is bubbly and golden, it’s ready to serve!
