This Copycat KFC Bowl recipe delivers everything you love about the fast-food version but made right in your kitchen with fresh ingredients and simple steps.


Ingredients

2 pounds Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes

4 tablespoons butter

1 cup milk (warmed)

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

2 cups frozen corn kernels

2 tablespoons butter (for corn)

2 cups cooked popcorn chicken or nuggets

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 tablespoons butter (for gravy)

2 tablespoons flour

2 cups beef or chicken broth

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

1. Peel and cube the potatoes. Boil until fork-tender, then drain.

2. Mash with butter, warm milk, salt, and garlic powder until smooth.

3. Cook the popcorn chicken according to package or air fry until crispy.

4. Sauté corn in a skillet with butter and a pinch of salt until warm.

5. In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour.

6. Slowly whisk in broth while stirring to form a gravy. Season with onion powder, salt, and pepper.

7. In deep bowls, add mashed potatoes as the base.

8. Top with corn, crispy chicken, hot gravy, and finish with shredded cheese.

Notes

For extra creamy potatoes, use warm milk and don’t over-mash.
