Description

Looking for a quick breakfast, easy dinner, or a healthy snack that’s crispy and satisfying? These Classic Cabbage Fritters are the perfect solution. Made with simple ingredients and packed with flavor, they turn everyday cabbage into a golden, crunchy delight. Whether you need fast food ideas for busy days or a comforting homemade dish, this easy recipe delivers on both taste and texture.

Ingredients

2 cups shredded cabbage

2 large eggs

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup finely chopped onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs

3 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions

1. Finely shred the cabbage, sprinkle with salt, and let it sit for 10 minutes to release moisture.

2. Squeeze out excess liquid from the cabbage using your hands or a clean towel.

3. In a mixing bowl, combine cabbage, eggs, flour, onion, garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat until hot.

5. Scoop portions of the mixture into the pan and flatten into fritters.

6. Cook for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.

7. Transfer to paper towels and serve warm.

Notes

Make sure to remove excess moisture from the cabbage to keep fritters crispy.

Do not overcrowd the pan, as it lowers the oil temperature and affects texture.

For extra flavor, add a pinch of paprika or chili flakes to the batter.
