Description

A festive and flavorful whipped butter made with tangy cranberries and sweet honey, perfect for spreading on holiday breads, pancakes, or serving alongside roasted meats. This easy-to-make spread adds color and cheer to any table.


Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries

2 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon orange zest (optional)

1 pinch salt


Instructions

1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, simmer the cranberries with a splash of water until they burst and thicken into a jam-like consistency (about 10–15 minutes).

2. Stir in 1 tablespoon of honey and orange zest if using. Let the mixture cool completely.

3. In a mixing bowl, whip the softened butter using a hand or stand mixer until pale and fluffy (about 3–4 minutes).

4. Gently fold in the cooled cranberry mixture with a spatula, creating a marbled swirl.

5. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of honey and a pinch of salt. Taste and adjust for sweetness or salt.

6. Spoon the finished butter into jars or ramekins. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Let the cranberry mixture cool fully before swirling it in to avoid melting the butter.

For extra festive flair, use cookie cutters to shape chilled butter for presentation.

Always taste after folding to adjust honey and salt to your preference.
