Ingredients
1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, melted
1 cup (200g) brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups (340g) semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper or grease lightly.
- Melt the butter and let it cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients.
- Fold in chocolate chips, reserving some to sprinkle on top.
- Spread batter evenly in prepared pan. Top with remaining chocolate chips.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and just set.
- Cool completely in pan before slicing.
