Ingredients

1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, melted

1 cup (200g) brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups (340g) semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper or grease lightly.
  2. Melt the butter and let it cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, mix melted butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips, reserving some to sprinkle on top.
  8. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan. Top with remaining chocolate chips.
