Description
This Cheesy Cajun Steak Pasta with Garlic Parmesan Sauce brings together bold Cajun flavors and creamy comfort. Juicy seared steak slices are tossed with tender pasta in a rich garlic-parmesan cream sauce, perfect for indulgent weeknight dinners or entertaining guests.
Ingredients
1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak
8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
1 cup heavy cream
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Season the steak on both sides with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
2. In a hot skillet with butter and olive oil, sear the steak for 3–4 minutes per side. Remove and let rest.
3. Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/4 cup pasta water.
4. In the same skillet, add more butter and sauté the garlic until fragrant.
5. Pour in the cream and simmer over low heat.
6. Stir in the parmesan until melted. Add a bit more Cajun seasoning if desired.
7. Slice steak thinly against the grain.
8. Toss cooked pasta and steak in the sauce. Add pasta water if needed for consistency.
9. Garnish with parsley and extra parmesan. Serve hot.
Notes
Always rest your steak before slicing—it keeps juices locked in.
Don’t overheat the cream; keep the sauce on low to prevent splitting.
Adjust the Cajun spice to your heat preference—start mild, then add more if needed.
