Ingredients

3 cups frozen crinkle-cut French fries

1 pound ground beef

1 small yellow onion, diced

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

2 tablespoons ketchup

1 tablespoon yellow mustard

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

Optional: 2 tablespoons chopped pickles or parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.

2. Spread frozen fries in a single layer in the baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes until slightly golden.

3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion. Break the beef apart and stir occasionally until browned. Drain excess grease.

4. Add garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir in ketchup and mustard. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.

5. Evenly layer the beef mixture over the baked fries. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously over the top.

6. Return the dish to the oven. Bake an additional 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

7. Garnish with chopped pickles or parsley if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Layer Smart: For crispier fries, bake them a little longer before adding the beef and cheese.

Cheese Matters: Use freshly shredded cheddar instead of pre-packaged to get better melt and flavor.

Customize Freely: Add jalapeños, diced tomatoes, or even bacon bits for your own burger-style flair.
