Description

Need a stress-free, flavor-packed dinner for the holidays or any day of the week? This Butterball Crockpot Turkey Breast delivers a juicy, tender result with herby butter richness and zero oven babysitting. It’s the ultimate easy recipe for a satisfying dinner idea, perfectly suited for holiday meals, family dinners, or even a quick protein prep for the week. With just a few ingredients and your slow cooker doing the heavy lifting, this easy dinner will be on repeat in your kitchen.

Ingredients

36 pounds Butterball turkey breast (bone-in or boneless)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)

3 cloves garlic (minced)

1 teaspoon fresh thyme (chopped)

1 teaspoon fresh rosemary (chopped)

1 teaspoon fresh sage (chopped)

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 onion (quartered)

1 cup chicken broth

Instructions

1. Remove any packaging and gravy packet from the turkey breast. Pat dry with paper towels.

2. In a bowl, mix softened butter, garlic, herbs, paprika, salt, and pepper until combined.

3. Rub the butter mixture over the entire turkey breast, including under the skin if possible.

4. Layer the bottom of the crockpot with quartered onions and pour in the chicken broth.

5. Place the seasoned turkey breast on top of the onions.

6. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

7. (Optional) Transfer the cooked turkey to a baking sheet and broil for 4–5 minutes for crispy skin.

8. Let the turkey rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Let the turkey rest before carving — this keeps juices from spilling out and drying the meat.

Use fresh herbs when possible for the brightest flavor, but dried herbs work in a pinch.

Don’t skip the broil step if you want that golden, crispy skin — it takes the dish to the next level.
