Description
Flaky biscuit crust, creamy sausage gravy, gooey cheddar cheese, and optional runny eggs—all baked into one satisfying breakfast pizza. Perfect for brunch, weekend feasts, or a hearty breakfast-for-dinner.
Ingredients
1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
1/2 pound breakfast sausage
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 1/4 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 large eggs (optional)
1 tablespoon butter (optional, for brushing crust)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet or pizza pan.
2. Press biscuit dough evenly onto the sheet to form the crust, sealing seams and forming a small edge.
3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned. Stir in flour and cook 1 minute.
4. Gradually whisk in milk. Simmer, whisking, until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Spread sausage gravy over biscuit crust.
6. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
7. Crack eggs on top if using, spacing them evenly.
8. Bake for 20–23 minutes or until crust is golden, cheese is bubbly, and eggs are set.
9. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a crispier crust, pre-bake the biscuit layer for 5 minutes before adding toppings.
You can swap cheddar with a cheese blend for extra flavor depth.
If using eggs, gently press into small wells to help them hold shape while baking.
