Ingredients
1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (flaky style, like “Grands”)
1 lb pork breakfast sausage (mild or spicy)
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 1/2 cups whole milk
Salt and cracked black pepper (to taste)
1 tbsp butter (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, crumble and cook sausage until browned and cooked through.
- Sprinkle in the flour and stir to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Gradually whisk in milk. Stir continuously until thickened and bubbling, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Add butter if desired.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Pour the sausage gravy into the dish and spread evenly.
