Description
A cozy, creamy pasta dish with savory beef, tender rotini, and a garlic-parmesan sauce that brings it all together. Perfect for weeknight comfort or a weekend indulgence.
Ingredients
12 oz rotini pasta
1 lb ground beef
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 cup beef broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add rotini and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from the pan and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, melt the butter and add minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
4. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute to form a roux.
5. Slowly whisk in the beef broth followed by the heavy cream. Simmer until the sauce slightly thickens.
6. Reduce the heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese. Mix until smooth and fully melted.
7. Return the beef to the skillet, then add the cooked rotini. Toss to coat everything in the creamy garlic sauce.
8. Serve hot, topped with extra Parmesan and parsley if desired.
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan for best melt and flavor—pre-shredded can result in a grainy texture.
To make it lighter, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream, and ground turkey instead of beef.
Add-ins like mushrooms or spinach blend beautifully with the sauce and elevate the dish.
