These Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps are a flavorful, low-carb dinner option that brings together seasoned turkey, crisp vegetables, and fresh herbs in tender lettuce cups. Easy to make and customizable, they’re perfect for busy weeknights or casual entertaining.
Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
3 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
2 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp sesame oil
1/2 cup shredded carrots
1/2 red bell pepper, julienned
3 green onions, chopped
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
Butter lettuce leaves (about 12-15 leaves)
Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger; sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add ground turkey, breaking it up as it cooks. Sauté until browned and cooked through, 6–8 minutes.
- Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and rice vinegar. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Add carrots and bell pepper; cook for 2 more minutes.
- Spoon the mixture into butter lettuce leaves.
- Top with green onions, cilantro, and sesame seeds.
- Serve immediately with optional chili sauce or sriracha.
