Description

A rich, layered dessert that blends buttery cake, creamy filling, and caramelized spiced apples. Perfect for fall or any time you’re craving cozy indulgence. Serve it warm with ice cream or chilled for a firmer slice—it’s always a hit.

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

8 oz cream cheese, softened

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

2 apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji), peeled, cored, and thinly sliced

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan or line with parchment.

2. In a bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix into a dough and press evenly into the bottom of the pan.

3. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla. Gradually beat in powdered sugar until fully blended. Pour over the crust layer and smooth with a spatula.

4. Toss apple slices with brown sugar and cinnamon. Layer them evenly over the cream cheese mixture. Drizzle melted butter on top.

5. Place the springform pan on a baking sheet (to catch drips) and bake for 45–55 minutes. The center should jiggle slightly but look set.

6. Cool completely before releasing from the pan. Serve warm or chilled.

Notes

For best texture, chill the cake for at least an hour before slicing—it sets up beautifully and makes cleaner cuts.

Swap apples for ripe pears or peaches for a seasonal twist.

Store leftovers in the fridge, tightly wrapped, for up to 4 days. Reheat gently in the microwave for 20 seconds for a gooey center.
