Description

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups apples, peeled and chopped

1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

3. In a large bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.

4. Stir in eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.

5. Fold in the dry ingredients with a spatula until just combined.

6. Gently mix in chopped apples and nuts (if using).

7. Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan.

8. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.

9. Let cool in the pan for at least 20 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For best texture, do not overmix the batter once flour is added.

Use tart apples like Granny Smith for a bolder flavor.

Let brownies cool completely before slicing for clean edges.
