Ingredients
1 pound fresh okra, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup cornmeal
2 tablespoons breadcrumbs (optional)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Rinse okra and dry thoroughly. Slice into uniform pieces.
- In a large bowl, toss okra with olive oil.
- In a separate bowl, combine cornmeal, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Coat the okra pieces in the dry mixture.
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease the basket.
- Place okra in a single layer. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, shaking halfway through.
- Remove when golden and crispy. Serve hot.
