Description

Crispy, golden, and deliciously seasoned, this Air Fryer Okra is a healthier take on the Southern classic. Made with minimal oil and packed with flavor, it’s the perfect side or snack that’s ready in minutes.


Ingredients

1 pound fresh okra, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/4 cup cornmeal

2 tablespoons breadcrumbs (optional)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Rinse okra and dry thoroughly. Slice into uniform pieces.
  2. In a large bowl, toss okra with olive oil.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine cornmeal, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Coat the okra pieces in the dry mixture.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease the basket.
  6. Place okra in a single layer. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  7. Remove when golden and crispy. Serve hot.
