Ingredients

4 boneless skinless chicken thighs (or breasts)

1/2 cup honey BBQ sauce (plus extra for drizzling)

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for coating)

Cooked white rice, for serving


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, honey, soy sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  2. Add chicken thighs and marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for stronger flavor).
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  4. Lightly spray air fryer basket with olive oil (if needed), then add the chicken in a single layer.
  5. Cook for 10 minutes, flip, and cook for another 8–10 minutes until the internal temp hits 165°F (74°C).
  6. Remove chicken, let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice.
  7. Serve over white rice and drizzle with extra warmed BBQ sauce.
