Air Fryer Crispy Honey Sriracha Chicken Bites are a perfect blend of crispy, sticky, sweet, and spicy. These bite-sized pieces of chicken are coated in a crunchy breading, air fried until golden, then tossed in a flavorful honey sriracha glaze. Ideal as an appetizer or main course, they’re easy to make and loaded with bold, addictive flavor.

Ingredients

For the Chicken:

1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/2 cup cornstarch

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

2 eggs, beaten

Cooking spray or oil mist

For the Honey Sriracha Sauce:

1/3 cup honey

1/4 cup sriracha (adjust to your heat preference)

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tsp sesame oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (optional slurry)

Garnish:

Toasted sesame seeds

Sliced green onions (optional)

Instructions

  1. Set up a dredging station: Beat the eggs in one bowl. In another, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Dip each chicken piece in the egg, then dredge in the flour mixture. Let rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Spray basket with oil. Place chicken in a single layer and lightly mist the tops.
  4. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy and internal temp reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. In a saucepan, combine honey, sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and garlic. Bring to a boil.
  6. Add cornstarch slurry if desired and simmer until thickened. Remove from heat.
  7. Toss hot chicken in the sauce until evenly coated.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve immediately.
