Air Fryer Crispy Honey Sriracha Chicken Bites are a perfect blend of crispy, sticky, sweet, and spicy. These bite-sized pieces of chicken are coated in a crunchy breading, air fried until golden, then tossed in a flavorful honey sriracha glaze. Ideal as an appetizer or main course, they’re easy to make and loaded with bold, addictive flavor.
Ingredients
For the Chicken:
1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2 eggs, beaten
Cooking spray or oil mist
For the Honey Sriracha Sauce:
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup sriracha (adjust to your heat preference)
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (optional slurry)
Garnish:
Toasted sesame seeds
Sliced green onions (optional)
Instructions
- Set up a dredging station: Beat the eggs in one bowl. In another, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken piece in the egg, then dredge in the flour mixture. Let rest for 5 minutes.
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Spray basket with oil. Place chicken in a single layer and lightly mist the tops.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy and internal temp reaches 165°F (74°C).
- In a saucepan, combine honey, sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and garlic. Bring to a boil.
- Add cornstarch slurry if desired and simmer until thickened. Remove from heat.
- Toss hot chicken in the sauce until evenly coated.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve immediately.
